Closed Questions

Closed questions are generally requests for specific information and require short direct answers, most often "Yes" or "No". For example: "Have you had experience in working with the XY accounting package?".

Although closed questions can inhibit you and restrict your freedom in presenting information, you can always add more details to answer the interviewer's question. For example:

"Yes, I've worked with this software for the last 5 years and was responsible for training and advising new members of staff in its use."

Always try to highlight as many positive and relevant facts about your previous experience as you can.
